وعلى القانون أن يحمي هذا الحق.

Article 6(i) states, " Every human being has the inherent right to life. this right shall be protected by law " .
فالمادة ٦ )١( تنص على أن " الحق في الحياة حق ملازم لكل إنسان، وعلى القانون أن يحمي هذا الحق " .

Article 6 of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights recognizes the inherent right of every person to life, adding that this right " shall be protected by law " and that " no one shall be arbitrarily deprived of life " .
أما المادة ٦ من العهد الدولي الخاص بالحقوق المدنية والسياسية فهي تعترف بأن الحق في الحياة هو حق ملازم لكل إنسان، وتضيف أن " على القانون أن يحمي هذا الحق " وأنه " لا يجوز حرمان أحد من حياته تعسفا " .
