Pursuant to the request by the Conference to collate and analyse information on technical assistance provided through the self-assessment checklist or other means, the Secretariat included in the self-assessment checklist a request to States parties to indicate whether they were in need of technical assistance and, if so, what type of assistance they required.
وبناء على طلب المؤتمر جمع وتحليل المعلومات المقدّمة عن المساعدة التقنية من خلال قائمة التقييم الذاتي المرجعية أو غيرها من الوسائل، أدرجت الأمانة في قائمة التقييم الذاتي المرجعية طلبا يدعو الدول الأطراف إلى بيان ما إذا كانت تحتاج إلى المساعدة التقنية، وإذا كان الأمر كذلك، بيان نوع المساعدة المطلوبة.

One speaker underlined the importance of safeguarding the prerogative of States to request that information submitted through the self-assessment checklist remain confidential.
وأكّد أحد المتكلمين على أهمية صون حق الدول في المطالبة بالإبقاء على سرية ما تقدّمه من معلومات من خلال قائمة التقييم الذاتي المرجعية.

In respect of the former, speakers noted that the Conference had already decided on methods for gathering such information through the self-assessment checklist.
وفيما يتعلق بجمع المعلومات، أشار المتكلمون إلى أن المؤتمر سبق أن بتّ في طرائق جمع تلك المعلومات من خلال قائمة التقييم الذاتي المرجعية.

In that regard, UNODC has collected information through the self-assessment checklist on the implementation of the Convention.
وفي هذا الصدد، جمع مكتب الأمم المتحدة المعني بالمخدرات والجريمة معلومات عن تنفيذ الاتفاقية بواسطة قائمة التقييم الذاتي المرجعية.

(c) Consider information gathered through the self-assessment checklist approved by the Conference;
(ج) النظر في المعلومات المجمّعة بواسطة قائمة التقييم الذاتي المرجعية التي يقرّها المؤتمر؛

In the same resolution, the Conference requested the Secretariat to collate and analyse information provided by States parties and signatories through the self-assessment checklist and to share that information and analysis with the Conference at its second session.
وفي القرار ذاته، طلب المؤتمر إلى الأمانة أن تعمد إلى جمع وتحليل المعلومات المقدّمة من الدول الأطراف والدول الموقّعة عن طريق قائمة التقييم الذاتي المرجعية وإطلاع المؤتمر على تلك المعلومات وذلك التحليل في دورته الثانية.

At its meeting held in Vienna from 29 to 31 August 2007, the Open-ended Intergovernmental Working Group on Review of the Implementation of the United Nations Convention against Corruption reiterated the call for the Secretariat to present to the Conference at its second session the analysis of information received through the self-assessment checklist (CAC/COSP/2008/3, para. 51).
6- وقد كرر الفريق العامل الحكومي الدولي المفتوح العضوية المعني باستعراض تنفيذ اتفاقية الأمم المتحدة لمكافحة الفساد في اجتماعه الذي عُقد في فيينا في الفترة من 29 الى 31 آب/ أغسطس 2007 دعوة الأمانة الى تحليل المعلومات المتلقاة عن طريق القائمة المرجعية للتقييم الذاتي التي ستقدم الى المؤتمر في دورته الثانية (الفقرة 51 من الوثيقة CAC/COSP/2008/3).

9. Encourages all States parties that have not yet done so to submit information through the self-assessment checklist as a follow-up mechanism to the first session of the Conference of States Parties;

The experts underscored the need to identify technical assistance needs at all phases of the review process, including through the self-assessment checklist.
22- شدّد الخبراء على ضرورة استبانة الاحتياجات من المساعدة التقنية أثناء جميع مراحل عملية الاستعراض، بما في ذلك من خلال قائمة التقييم الذاتي المرجعية.

The Library of Laws and Jurisprudence Relevant to the United Nations Convention against Corruption will build on existing collections of legislation and on the information elicited through the self-assessment checklist.
9- وستستند مكتبة القوانين والسوابق القضائية المتعلقة باتفاقية الأمم المتحدة لمكافحة الفساد إلى المجموعات القائمة من التشريعات وإلى المعلومات المستقاة من خلال قائمة التقييم الذاتي المرجعية.

Information on cases submitted by States in the course of the delivery of technical assistance or through the self-assessment checklist was considered confidential unless otherwise specified by the State involved, so as to protect the interests of the countries involved and not to jeopardize ongoing cases.
ورُئي أنَّ المعلومات التي تُقدِّمها الدول عن القضايا في سياق تقديم المساعدة التقنية أو من خلال قائمة التقييم الذاتي المرجعية تُعتبر سرّية، ما لم تذكر الدولة المعنية خلاف ذلك، من أجل حماية مصالح البلدان المعنية وتفادي المساس بالقضايا الجارية.

Speakers indicated that the Open-ended Intergovernmental Working Group on Technical Assistance should continue its discussions and report to the Conference at its third session, in particular on the ongoing identification of technical assistance needs through the self-assessment checklist.
110- وذكر المتكلمون أنه ينبغي للفريق العامل الحكومي الدولي المفتوح العضوية المعني بالمساعدة التقنية أن يواصل مناقشاته وأن يقدّم إلى المؤتمر في دورته الثالثة تقريرا عن ذلك، وخصوصا عما يجري من تحديد للاحتياجات من المساعدة التقنية من خلال قائمة التقييم الذاتي المرجعية.

The reports should be based on information provided by States parties (and signatory States, as appropriate) through the self-assessment checklist.
وينبغي أن تستند التقارير إلى ما توفّره الدول الأطراف (والدول الموقّعة، حسب الاقتضاء) من معلومات من خلال قائمة التقييم الذاتي المرجعية.

At present, there is no direct correlation between the technical assistance needs identified through the self-assessment checklist or other compliance and gap analyses, the means required to fill those gaps and the technical assistance currently being provided.
29- ولا يوجد في الوقت الحاضر أي ارتباط مباشر بين الاحتياجات من المساعدة التقنية المحددة من خلال قائمة التقييم الذاتي المرجعية أو تحاليل الامتثال والثغرات الأخرى والوسائل اللازمة لسد تلك الثغرات والمساعدة التقنية المقدمة في الوقت الحاضر.

(b) to provide guidance on priorities; (c) to consider information, including that gathered through the self-assessment checklist approved by the Conference; and (d) to promote coordination of technical assistance.
و(ج) النظر في المعلومات بما في ذلك المعلومات المجمّعة بواسطة قائمة التقييم الذاتي المرجعية التي يقرّها المؤتمر؛ و(د) تشجيع تنسيق المساعدة التقنية.

Speakers expressed appreciation for the efforts undertaken by UNODC to implement the mandates contained in Conference resolutions 1/7, 2/5 and 3/2 and noted the usefulness of the Institutional Integrity Initiative and of the information collected from international organizations through the self-assessment checklist.
42- وأعرب المتكلمون عن تقديرهم للجهود التي بذلها المكتب المعني بالمخدرات والجريمة لتنفيذ الولايات المنصوص عليها في قرارات المؤتمر 1/7 و2/5 و3/2، ونوّهوا بفائدة المبادرة المتعلقة بالنزاهة في المؤسسات وبالمعلومات المستقاة من المنظمات الدولية بواسطة قائمة التقييم الذاتي المرجعية.

That Working Group, pursuant to resolution 1/5, had (a) reviewed needs for technical assistance, (b) provided guidance on priorities, (c) considered information, including that gathered through the self-assessment checklist approved by the Conference, and (d) promoted coordination of technical assistance.
وعملا بالقرار 1/5، قام ذلك الفريق العامل بما يلي: (أ) استعرض الاحتياجات من المساعدة التقنية، و(ب) قدم إرشادات بشأن الأولويات، و(ج) نظر في المعلومات بما في ذلك المعلومات المجمّعة بواسطة قائمة التقييم الذاتي المرجعية التي أقرّها المؤتمر، و(د) شجّع على تنسيق المساعدة التقنية.

He drew the participants' attention to document CAC/COSP/WG.3/2009/2, a background paper containing an analysis of information provided by States parties through the self-assessment checklist.
ووجّه انتباه المشاركين إلى الوثيقة CAC/COSP/WG.3/2009/2، ورقة عن المعلومات الخلفية، تتضمّن تحليلا للمعلومات التي قدّمتها الدول الأطراف عن طريق قائمة التقييم الذاتي المرجعية.

28. In the conduct of the desk review [and country visit, if applicable], in addition to the information provided through the self-assessment checklist and any supplementary information provided by the Government, the review team may consider relevant, up-to-date and credible information available from sources such as the following:
28- بالإضافة إلى المعلومات المقدمة عن طريق قائمة التقييم الذاتي المرجعية وأي معلومات تكميلية تقدمها الحكومة، يجوز لفرقة الاستعراض لدى القيام بالاستعراض المكتبي [والزيارة القطرية، عند الاقتضاء]، أن تنظر في معلومات مناسبة ومحدَّثة وموثوقة متاحة من مصادر مثل ما يلي:

(a) In the conduct of the desk review, in addition to the information provided through the self-assessment checklist and any supplementary information provided by the State party under review, information available from other existing anti-corruption review mechanisms in which the State party under review participates may be considered.
(أ) إضافةً إلى المعلومات المقدّمة عن طريق قائمة التقييم الذاتي المرجعية وأي معلومات تكميلية تقدّمها الدولة الطرف الخاضعة للاستعراض، يجوز، لدى إجراء الاستعراض المكتبي، النظر في المعلومات المتاحة من آليات الاستعراض الأخرى القائمة المعنية بمكافحة الفساد التي تشارك فيها الدولة الطرف الخاضعة للاستعراض.
