The 6th meeting of the Working Group on Article 8 (j) considered the recommendations arising from the eighth session of the Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues and forwarded the following recommendations for the consideration of the governing body (Conference of the Parties) at its tenth meeting, to be held in Nagoya, Japan in October 2010:

26. His delegation welcomed the High-level Meeting on Biodiversity held by the General Assembly on 22 September 2010, and looked forward to a successful outcome of the tenth meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity, to be held in Nagoya, Japan.
