وإذ تسلم بأهمية مؤتمر الأطراف في اتفاقية الأمم المتحدة لمكافحة الجريمة المنظمة عبر الوطنية الذي أنشئ لتعزيز قدرة الدول الأطراف على مكافحة الجريمة المنظمة العابرة للحدود الوطنية والتشجيع على تنفيذ الاتفاقية وبروتوكول منع وقمع الاتجار بالأشخاص، وبخاصة النساء والأطفال، والمعاقبة عليه واستعراضهما،

Its two main objectives are " to improve the capacity of States Parties to combat transnational organized crime " and " to promote and review the implementation of this Convention " .
ويتمثل هدفاه الرئيسيان في " تحسين قدرة الدول الأطراف على مكافحة الجريمة المنظّمة عبر الوطنية " و " تعزيز تنفيذ هذه الاتفاقية واستعراضه " .

1- يُنشأ بمقتضى هذه المادة مؤتمر للأطراف في الاتفاقية من أجل تحسين قدرة الدول الأطراف على مكافحة الفساد والقضاء عليه وتعزيز تنفيذ هذه الاتفاقية واستعراضه من خلال برنامج متابعة منتظمة.

" وإذ تسلم بأن مؤتمر الأطراف في اتفاقية الأمم المتحدة لمكافحة الجريمة المنظمة عبر الوطنية أُنشئ، وفقاً للاتفاقية، لتحسين قدرة الدول الأطراف على مكافحة الجريمة المنظمة العابرة للحدود الوطنية وللتشجيع على تنفيذ الاتفاقية واستعراض تنفيذها، بما في ذلك بروتوكول منع وقمع الاتجار بالأشخاص، وبخاصة النساء والأطفال، والمعاقبة عليه،

16.55 In accordance with article 32 of the Convention, a Conference of the Parties to the Convention was established to improve the capacity of States parties to combat transnational organized crime and to promote and review the implementation of the Convention and the Protocols thereto.

Furthermore, in its resolution 5/2, entitled " Implementation of the Protocol to Prevent, Suppress and Punish Trafficking in Women and Children, supplementing the United Nations Convention against Transnational Organized Crime " , the Conference reaffirmed that one of its main purposes was to improve the capacity of States parties to combat trafficking in persons and that it should spearhead international efforts in that regard.
وأكَّد المؤتمر مجدَّدا في قراره 5/2 المعنون " تنفيذ بروتوكول منع وقمع ومعاقبة الاتجار بالأشخاص، وبخاصة النساء والأطفال، المكمّل لاتفاقية الأمم المتحدة لمكافحة الجريمة المنظّمة عبر الوطنية " أنَّ أحد أهدافه الرئيسية يتمثل في تحسين قدرة الدول الأطراف على مكافحة الاتجار بالأشخاص، وأنَّه ينبغي أن يرعى الجهود الدولية في هذا السياق.
