Acknowledging the importance of national implementation to the fullest extent possible, which was still a challenge for many States, Ukraine called on States parties to comply with the guide to National Reporting under Protocol V, annexed to the Convention on Certain Conventional Weapons (CCW/P.V/CONF/2009/4/Add.1 and Corr.1), and to consider the possibility of enhancing procedures for exchanging information.

Approve the draft Guide to National Reporting under CCW Protocol V " as a document representing a check list of questions to be used as a tool at the discretion of the High Contracting Parties to facilitate the filling-out of the forms of the National Reporting under Protocol V by providing the information referred to in paragraphs 24 to 28 of the Final Document of the First Conference of the High Contracting Parties.

(c) To continue to evaluate the reporting mechanism, including the reporting formats referred to in paragraphs 24 to 28 of the Final Document of the First Conference of the High Contracting Parties and The Guide to National Reporting under CCW Protocol V " ; and to request the 2011 Meeting of Experts to make recommendations on the above for consideration by the Fifth Conference of the High Contracting Parties to Protocol V.

1. During the 2009 Meeting of Experts of the High Contracting Parties to Protocol V (22-24 April 2009), the Coordinator introduced the subject of the National Reporting as well as Discussion Paper 1 titled " Elements to be included in a possible Guide to National Reporting under Protocol V " .
1- أثناء اجتماع خبراء الأطراف المتعاقدة السامية في البروتوكول الخامس لعام 2009 (22-24 نيسان/أبريل 2009)، عرض المنسق موضوع تقديم التقارير الوطنية وكذلك ورقة المناقشة 1 المعنونة " عناصر يتعين إدخالها دليل محتمل لتقديم التقارير الوطنية بموجب البروتوكول الخامس " .

The High Contracting Parties and observer States had been asked to consider elements to be included in a possible guide to National Reporting under Protocol V. Consultations had been held on the subject with delegations, as well as with the International Committee of the Red Cross and Landmine Action, both during and after the 2009 meeting of experts.
