٩ - تحث أيضا الدول القائمة باﻹدارة على أن تتخذ جميع التدابير اللازمة لحماية وحفظ البيئة في اﻷقاليم الواقعة تحت إدارتها من أي تدهور بيئي، وتطلب الى الوكالات المتخصصة المعنية أن تواصل رصد اﻷحوال البيئية في تلك اﻷقاليم؛

١٠ - تحث أيضا الدول القائمة باﻹدارة على أن تتخذ جميع التدابير اللازمة لحماية وحفظ البيئة في اﻷقاليم الواقعة تحت إدارتها من أي تدهور بيئي، وتطلب إلى الوكالات المتخصصة المعنية أن تواصل رصد اﻷحوال البيئية في تلك اﻷقاليم؛

Annex V on the Protection and Conservation of the Ecosystems and Biological Diversity of the Maritime Area, which forms an integral part of the Convention, requires Contracting Parties to take the necessary measures to protect and conserve the ecosystems and the biological diversity of the maritime area, and to restore, where practicable, marine areas which have been adversely affected.
ويشترط المرفق الخامس بشأن حماية وحفظ النظم الإيكولوجية والتنوع البيولوجي للمناطق البحرية، والذي يمثل جزءا مكملا للاتفاقية، أن تتخذ الأطراف المتعاقدة الإجراءات اللازمة لحماية وحفظ النظم الإيكولوجية والتنوع البيولوجي للمنطقة البحرية، وأن تُحيي، كلما كان ذلك ممكنا، المناطق البحرية المضرورة.
