Not only has the call upon Member States to refrain from promulgating and applying laws and measures of the kind imposed on Cuba been totally ignored, but new laws and measures have been introduced.
فاﻷمر لم يقتصر على مجرد تجاهل النداء الموجه الى الدول اﻷعضاء بالامتناع عن سن وتطبيق قوانين وتدابير من النوع المفروض على كوبا بل بلغ استحداث قوانين وتدابير جديدة.

1. In its resolution 47/19, the General Assembly called upon all States to refrain from promulgating and applying laws and measures whose extraterritorial effects affect the sovereignty of other States, and urged States that have such laws or measures to take the necessary steps to repeal or invalidate them.
1 - طلبت الجمعية العامة في قرارها 47/19 إلى جميع الدول الامتناع عن سن وتطبيق قوانين وتدابير تمس آثارها التي تتجاوز الحدود الإقليمية لتلك الدول سيادة دول أخرى، وحثت الدول التي لديها قوانين أو تدابير من هذا القبيل على اتخاذ الخطوات اللازمة لإبطالها أو إلغائها.

2. Indeed, through its resolutions 47/19 and 48/16, the General Assembly called on all States to refrain from promulgating and applying laws and measures whose extraterritorial effects affect the sovereignty of other States and the legitimate interests of entities or persons under their jurisdiction, as well as the freedom of trade and navigation.
والواقع أن الجمعية العامة من خلال قراريها ٤٧/١٩ و ٤٨/١٦، دعت جميع الدول الى أن تمتنع عن سن وتطبيق قوانين وتدابير تمس آثارها التي تتجاوز حدود تلك الدول سيادة دول أخرى والمصالح المشروعة لكيانات أو أشخاص خاضعين لولايتها القضائية، كما تمس حرية التجارة والملاحة.

ومن أسف أنه لا يزال يُستهزأ بالدعوة الموجهة إلى جميع الدول بالامتناع عن سن وتطبيق قوانين وتدابير مثل تلك المفروضة على كوبا.
