Ms. Clift (Secretariat) said that the Commission had agreed at its thirty-ninth session in 2006 that initial work to compile practical experience in negotiating and using cross-border insolvency agreements would be undertaken informally through consultations with judges, insolvency practitioners and other experts, and that a preliminary progress report would be submitted to the Commission at its fortieth session in 2007.
