2- وطلب مؤتمر الأطراف في اتفاقية الأمم المتحدة لمكافحة التصحر، بموجب الفقرة 7 من مقرره 28/م أ-7، إلى الأمانة أن تقدم تقريراً مؤقتاً إلى لجنة استعراض تنفيذ الاتفاقية في دورتها الخامسة بشأن ما آل إليه الاحتفال بالسنة الدولية.

Mindful of the limited number of national reports received in the 2012 - 2013 reporting process and recognizing the need to improve the quantity and the quality of information provided to the Committee for the Review of Implementation of the Convention in order to make the review process more effective,

37. In accordance with decision 16/COP.10, paragraph 2, the Committee agreed to transmit the recommendations in annex III to this document to the Committee for the Review of the Implementation of the Convention (CRIC) in an annex to document ICCD/CRIC(11)/14.

(b) Impact: the extent to which there has been progress towards achieving the overall objectives of the Convention which can be attributed to the Committee for the Review of the Implementation of the Convention, inter alia through relevant action taken by the Conference of the Parties on approaches, policies and strategies to strengthen the implementation of the Convention and The Strategy;
