The second part considered the financial situation of the Committee and called on States parties to ratify the amendment to the Convention concerning the financing of the Committee and to provide adequate funding.
وأضافت أن الجزء الثاني ينظر في الوضع المالي للجنة ويطالب الدول الأعضاء بالتصديق على تعديل الاتفاقية المتعلق بتكوين اللجنة وتوفير التمويل الكافي.

4. By resolution 55/81 of 4 December 2000, the Assembly strongly urged States parties to the Convention to accelerate their domestic ratification procedures with regard to the amendment to the Convention concerning the financing of the Committee and to notify the Secretary-General expeditiously in writing of their agreement to the above-mentioned amendment.
4 - وقد شجعت الجمعية العامة بموجب قرارها 55/81 المؤرخ 4 كانون الأول/ديسمبر 2000، الدول الأطراف في الاتفاقية تشجيعا قويا على التعجيل باتخاذ إجراءاتها الداخلية للتصديق على تعديل الاتفاقية المتعلق بتمويل اللجنة وإخطار الأمين العام على وجه السرعة خطيا بموافقتها على التعديل المذكور أعلاه.

In this connection, the Committee cites General Assembly resolutions 61/148, 63/243, 65/200 and 67/156, in which the Assembly strongly urged States parties to accelerate their national ratification procedures with regard to the amendment to the Convention concerning the financing of the Committee and to notify the Secretary-General expeditiously in writing of their agreement to the amendment.
وتشير اللجنة في هذا الصدد إلى قرارات الجمعية العامة 61/148 و63/243 و65/200 و67/156، التي حثت فيها الجمعية بقوة الدول الأطراف على التعجيل باتخاذ إجراءات على الصعيد الوطني للتصديق على تعديل الاتفاقية المتعلق بتمويل اللجنة وعلى إخطار الأمين العام كتابة على وجه السرعة بموافقتها على التعديل.

In this connection, the Committee refers to resolutions 61/148, 63/243 and 65/200, in which the General Assembly strongly urges States parties to the Convention to accelerate their domestic ratification procedures with regard to the amendment to the Convention concerning the financing of the Committee and to notify the Secretary-General expeditiously in writing of their agreement to the amendment.
وفي هذا الصدد، تشير اللجنة إلى قرارات الجمعية العامة 61/148، و63/243، و65/200، التي طلبت فيها الجمعية العامة من الدول الأطراف تسريع إجراءاتها الداخلية المتعلقة بالتصديق على هذا التعديل على الاتفاقية فيما يتعلق بتمويل اللجنة، وإبلاغ الأمين العام كتابياً في أقرب وقت بموافقتها على هذا التعديل.

Ukraine participated as an observer at the meeting of States parties to the Convention concerning the establishment of the International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea, which was held in New York from 21 to 22 November 1994.
لقد شاركـــت أوكرانيا بصفة مراقب في اجتماع الـــدول اﻷطراف في الاتفاقية فيما يتعلق بإنشاء المحكمة الدولية لقانون البحار، الذي عقد في نيويورك في الفترة من ٢١ إلـــى ٢٢ تشرين الثاني/ نوفمبر ١٩٩٤.

The Assembly would also welcome the first meeting of States parties to the Convention concerning the establishment of the International Tribunal of the Law of the Sea, held in New York on 21 and 22 November 1994, and it would express its satisfaction at the progress being made in the establishment of the International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea and the Commission on the Limits of the Continental Shelf.
وترحب الجمعية أيضا بالاجتماع اﻷول للدول اﻷطراف في الاتفاقية فيما يتعلق بإنشاء المحكمة الدولية لقانون البحار، الذي عقد في نيويورك يومي ٢١ و ٢٢ تشرين الثاني/نوفمبر ١٩٩٤، وتعرب عن ارتياحها للتقدم المحرز في إنشاء المحكمة الدولية لقانون البحار واللجنة المعنية بحدود الجرف القاري.
