وإذ تضع في اعتبارها أن إسرائيل طرف في اتفاقية جنيف بشأن حماية الأشخاص المدنيين في وقت الحرب، المبرمة في 12 آب/أغسطس 1949، والتي تنطبق قانوناً على الأراضي الفلسطينية وجميع الأراضي العربية التي تحتلها إسرائيل منذ عام 1967، بما فيها القدس الشرقية والجولان السوري، وإذ تذكر بالإعلان الذي اعتمده مؤتمر الأطراف السامية المتعاقدة في اتفاقية جنيف الرابعة، المعقود في جنيف في 5 كانون الأول/ديسمبر 2001،

Guided by the relevant provisions of the Charter of the United Nations and the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and with particular reference to the Geneva Convention relative to the Protection of Civilian Persons in Time of War, of 12 August 1949, and the relevant provisions of the Hague Conventions of 1899 and 1907,
وإذ تسترشد باﻷحكام ذات الصلة في ميثاق اﻷمم المتحدة، واﻹعلان العالمي لحقوق اﻹنسان، وباﻹشارة بصفة خاصة إلى اتفاقية جنيف المتعلقة بحماية اﻷشخاص المدنيين وقت الحرب، المؤرخة في ٢١ آب/ أغسطس ٩٤٩١، واﻷحكام ذات الصلة بالموضوع في اتفاقيتي لاهاي لعامي ٩٩٨١ و٧٠٩١،

6. Further reaffirms the great importance of the convening of a conference by the High Contracting Parties to the Geneva Convention relative to the Protection of Civilian Persons in Time of War, in accordance with General Assembly resolution ES—10/4;
٦- تؤكد من جديد كذلك اﻷهمية العظيمة لعقد مؤتمر لﻷطراف السامية المتعاقدة في اتفاقية جنيف المتعلقة بحماية المدنيين وقت الحرب، وفقاً لقرار الجمعية العامة دإط-٠١/٤؛

The resolution, inter alia, recommended that the High Contracting Parties to the Geneva Convention relative to the Protection of Civilian Persons in Time of War convene a conference on measures to enforce the Convention in the occupied Palestinian territory, including Jerusalem, and to ensure its respect, in accordance with common article 1.
وأوصى القرار، في جملة أمور، اﻷطراف المتعاقدة السامية في اتفاقية جنيف المتعلقة بحماية المدنيين وقت الحرب بأن يعقدوا مؤتمرا بشأن تدابير إنفاذ الاتفاقية في اﻷرض الفلسطينية المحتلة، بما فيها القدس، وضمان احترامها وفقا ﻷحكام المادة العامة ١.

146. Djibouti is also a party to the Geneva Convention relative to the Protection of Civilian Persons in Time of War of 12 August 1949 and its two Additional Protocols of 1977.
146- كما أن دولة جيبوتي طرف في اتفاقية جنيف المتعلقة بحماية المدنيين في وقت الحرب الصادرة في 12 آب/أغسطس 1949، وبروتوكوليها الإضافيين لعام 1977.

Of the three, resolutions ES-10/3 and ES-10/4 specifically recommended that the High Contracting Parties to the Geneva Convention relative to the Protection of Civilian Persons in Time of War convene a conference on measures to enforce the Convention in the occupied Palestinian territory, including Jerusalem.
ومن بين القرارات الثلاثة، أوصى القراران دإط -١٠/٣ و دإط -١٠/٤ تحديدا بأن تعقد اﻷطراف المتعاقدة السامية في اتفاقية جنيف المتعلقة بحماية المدنيين وقت الحرب مؤتمرا بشأن تدابير إنفاذ الاتفاقية في اﻷرض الفلسطينيـــة المحتلة، بما فيها القدس.

5. Calls upon the States parties to the Geneva Convention relative to the Protection of Civilian Persons in Time of War, of 12 August 1949, to ensure respect by Israel for the Convention and to secure protection for the Palestinian people under occupation, until the end of this occupation, in accordance with article 1 of the Convention;
٥- تطلب الى الدول اﻷطراف في اتفاقية جنيف المتعلقة بحماية اﻷشخاص المدنيين في وقت الحرب المؤرخة في ٢١ آب/أغسطس ٩٤٩١ ان تكفل احترام اسرائيل للاتفاقية وان تؤمن الحماية للشعب الفلسطيني الواقع تحت الاحتلال، الى ان ينتهي هذا الاحتلال، وفقا للمادة ١ من الاتفاقية؛

وإذ تشير إلى انعقاد اجتماع خبراء اﻷطراف المتعاقدة السامية في اتفاقية جنيف المتعلقة بحماية المدنيين وقت الحرب، المعقودة في ١٢ آب/أغسطس ١٩٤٩)٣( في جنيف في الفترة من ٢٧ إلى ٢٩ تشرين ـ

- One State said that it'did not believe that the convening of a conference of the High Contracting Parties to the Geneva Convention relative to the Protection of Civilian Persons in Time of War would make an effective contribution towards advancing the peace process' .
- وقالت إحدى الدول أنها ' لا تعتقد أن عقد مؤتمر لﻷطراف السامية المتعاقدة في اتفاقية جنيف المتعلقة بحماية المدنيين وقت الحرب سيساهم مساهمة فعالة في دفع عملية السلام إلى اﻷمام ' .

8. Recommends to the States that are High Contracting Parties to the Geneva Convention relative to the Protection of Civilian Persons in Time of War to take measures, on a national or regional level, in fulfilment of their obligations under article 1 of the Convention, to ensure respect by Israel, the occupying Power, of the Convention;
٨ - توصي الدول اﻷطراف السامية المتعاقدة في اتفاقية جنيف المتعلقة بحماية المدنيين وقت الحرب بأن تقــوم، على الصعيد الوطنــي أو اﻹقليمي، باتخاذ التدابير اللازمة للوفاء بالتزاماتها بموجب المادة ١ من الاتفاقية، من أجل كفالة احترام إسرائيل، السلطة القائمة بالاحتلال، للاتفاقية؛
