The violation of the freedom of access to the holy places was also addressed by the Court, which stated that Israel " must ensure freedom of access to the holy places that came under its control following the 1967 War " . (ibid., p. 49)

The Committee also shares his serious concern about recent developments in the city, and encourages the General Assembly to adopt a resolution reaffirming, inter alia, that the illegal Israeli actions are null and void and that a just solution of the question must include internationally guaranteed provisions to ensure freedom of religion and permanent and unhindered access to the holy places by people of all faiths and nationalities.
كما تشاطره اللجنة قلقه البالغ إزاء التطورات الأخيرة في المدينة، وتشجع الجمعية العامة على اعتماد قرار يعيد تأكيد، من جملة أمور، أن الأعمال الإسرائيلية غير المشروعة لاغية وباطلة، وأن حلا عادلا للمسألة يجب أن يتضمن أحكاما مضمونة دوليا تكفل إمكانية وصول الناس من جميع الأديان والجنسيات إلى الأماكن المقدسة بصورة دائمة وبحرية ودون عائق.
