In the same resolution, the Council decided that the 2008 Social Forum should focus on questions relating to the eradication of poverty in the context of human rights, capturing best practices in the fight against poverty in the light of grass-roots presentations to the Social Forum and the social dimension of the globalization process.
3- وفي هذا القرار ذاته، قرر المجلس أن يركِّز المحفل الاجتماعي في دورته لعام 2008 علـى المسائل المتصلة بالقضاء على الفقر في سياق حقوق الإنسان، وتحديد أفضل الممارسات في مكافحة الفقر على ضوء العروض التي وردت إلى المحفل الاجتماعي من القاعدة الشعبية، والبعد الاجتماعي لعملية العولمة.

In addition, the background report to the Social Forum, (A/HRC/SF/2012/2) submitted by OHCHR pursuant to paragraph 8 of Council resolution 19/24, informed the discussions.

In 2011, the organization submitted a written statement on the theme: " The right to development: measures and policies needed to make the right to development a reality " to the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) as a contribution to the Social Forum of the Human Rights Council on the right to development, held in Geneva from 3 to 5 October 2011.
