As part of its efforts to help detainees, ICRC has continued to strive to prevent or put an end to cases of enforced disappearance and endeavoured to ensure that detainees can maintain contact with their families and benefit from the procedural and judicial guarantees to which they are entitled under IHL and other bodies of law.
