118 - ونعيد تأكيد أن إقامة نظام تجاري عالمي متعدد الأطراف يستند إلى قواعد منفتح غير تمييزي منصف من شأنه أن ينهض بالتنمية الزراعية والريفية في البلدان النامية ويسهم في تحقيق الأمن الغذائي العالمي.

The regime that we are constructing through this Conference will provide a framework for States to confront the reductions in catch and effort that will be necessary for fisheries to have a sustainable future and to make an effective contribution to world food security for present and future generations.
٨ - وسيوفر النظام الذي نحن بصدد إنشائه من خلال هذا المؤتمر إطارا للدول لمواجهة ما سيلزم إجراؤه من تخفيضات في كمية الصيد والجهد لكي يكون هناك مستقبل مستدام لمصائد اﻷسماك وللاسهام بصورة فعالة في اﻷمن الغذائي العالمي لمنفعة اﻷجيال الحاضرة والمقبلة.
