2. In accordance with the Agreement relating to the Implementation of Part XI of the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea of 10 December 1982 ( " the Agreement " ), the provisions of the Agreement and Part XI of the Convention shall be interpreted and applied together as a single instrument.

This Protocol supplements the Convention on the Safety of United Nations and Associated Personnel, done at New York on 9 December 1994 (hereinafter referred to as " the Convention " ), and as between the Parties to this Protocol, the Convention and the Protocol shall be read and interpreted together as a single instrument.
يكمل هذا البروتوكول الاتفاقية المتعلقة بسلامة موظفي الأمم المتحدة والأفراد المرتبطين بها، المبرمة في نيويورك في 9 كانون الأول/ديسمبر 1994 (المشار إليها فيما يلي بـ ' ' الاتفاقية``)، وتقرأ الاتفاقية والبروتوكول ويفسران معا كصك واحد فيما بين الدول الأطراف في هذا البروتوكول.
