واسمحوا لي بأن أشكر السيد مصطفى طلبة الذي تحمل عبء مهمة توجيه المفاوضات.

I extend my thanks to all concerned, particularly Mr. Tolba and his team, the Bureau, and all those who have assisted me in the special session.
وأوجه شكري إلى جميع المعنيين، وخاصة السيد طلبة وفريقه، هيئة المكتب، وجميع الذين ساعدوني في هذه الدورة الاستثنائية.

I congratulate Ambassador Razali on the effective manner in which he has been presiding over the work of the Assembly, and pay tribute to the Commission on Sustainable Development and its Chairman, Mr. Tolba, and to the United Nations Environment Programme.
اسمحوا لي في مستهل كلمتي هذه أن أهنئكم على حسن تسييركم ﻷعمال هذه الدورة. كما أشيد بالمجهودات التي بذلتها لجنة التنمية المستدامة وعلى رأسها السيد مصطفى طلبة في سبيل التحضير الجيد ﻷعمالنا هذه.

Of course, we want to thank Chairman Tolba and the Bureau for their impressive leadership of this long process, and especially for Mr. Tolba's enthusiasm and humour.
ونود طبعا أن نشكر الرئيس طلبة والمكتب على حسن قيادتهما المؤثرة لهذه العملية الطويلة، ولا سيما ما أظهره السيد طلبة من حماس وروح الدعابة.

But, as Mr. Tolba said a few moments ago, another conclusion is that we did make progress on several subjects, such as climate change, forests, energy, eco-efficiency and water, and we clearly recognized poverty eradication as our most important common task.
ولكن، كما قال السيد طلبة منذ لحظات، ثمة نتيجة أخرى هي أننا أحرزنا تقدما في مواضيع عدة، مثل تغير المناخ والغابات، والطاقة، والكفاءة اﻹيكولوجية، والمياه، واعترفنا بوضوح بأن استئصال الفقر هو مهمتنا المشتركة اﻷكثر أهمية.
