It is supported by article 20, under which indigenous peoples are entitled to " engage freely in all their traditional and other economic activities " , and article 23, which articulates indigenous peoples' right to determine and develop priorities and strategies for exercising their right to development, entitling indigenous peoples to also utilize their resources for development.
