Last June's Fourth Biennial Meeting of States to Consider the Implementation of the Programme of Action to Prevent, Combat and Eradicate the Illicit Trade in Small Arms and Light Weapons in All Its Aspects and its follow-up mechanisms was a step forward in our efforts to effectively address the multidimensional problem posed by the illicit traffic in small arms and light weapons and their munitions and components.
إن الاجتماع الرابع في حزيران/يونيه الماضي في سلسلة الاجتماعات التي تعقدها الدول كل سنتين للنظر في تنفيذ برنامج العمل لمنع الاتجار بالأسلحة الصغيرة والأسلحة الخفيفة ومكافحته والقضاء عليه من جميع جوانبه، وآليات المتابعة الخاصة به خطوة إلى الأمام في جهودنا للتصدي بفعالية للمسألة المتعددة الأبعاد التي يشكلها الاتجار غير المشروع في الأسلحة الصغيرة والأسلحة الخفيفة والذخائر والمكونات.
