In relation to trafficking in protected species of fauna and flora, several joint activities were identified, as follows:
وفيما يتعلق بالاتجار بأنواع الحيوانات والنباتات الخاضعة للحماية، حُدّدت عدة أنشطة مشتركة على النحو التالي:

4. Encourages Member States to undertake awareness-raising activities to improve understanding of the serious impact of trafficking in protected species of wild flora and fauna;
4- يشجّع الدول الأعضاء على القيام بأنشطة لرفع مستوى الوعي بغية تحسين فهم التأثير الخطير للاتجار بأنواع النباتات والحيوانات البرية الخاضعة للحماية؛

Aware of the existence of organized criminal groups operating transnationally that specialize in trafficking in protected species of wild flora and fauna, and concerned at the adverse environmental, economic and social repercussions of their activities,
وإذ يدرك وجود جماعات اجرامية منظمة تعمل عبر الحدود الوطنية متخصصة في الاتجار بأنواع النباتات والحيوانات البرية الخاضعة للحماية، وإذ تقلقه العواقب البيئية والاقتصادية والاجتماعية الناجمة عن أنشطتها،

Convinced that international cooperation and mutual legal assistance are both essential to prevent, combat and eradicate trafficking in protected species of wild flora and fauna,
واقتناعا منه بأن التعاون الدولي والمساعدة القانونية المتبادلة ضروريان كلاهما لمنع الاتجار بأنواع النباتات والحيوانات البرية الخاضعة للحماية ومكافحته والقضاء عليه،

Several representatives drew attention to a range of domestic legislative and enforcement measures currently being implemented to combat trafficking in protected species of wild flora and fauna.
ولفت عدة متكلمين الانتباه إلى مجموعة من التدابير التشريعية والانفاذية الداخلية التي يجري تنفيذها حاليا لمكافحة الاتجار بأنواع النباتات والحيوانات البرية الخاضعة للحماية.

5. Calls upon Member States to promote international cooperation as well as the conclusion of mutual legal assistance agreements, as appropriate, with a view to preventing, combating and eradicating trafficking in protected species of wild flora and fauna;
5- يناشد الدول الأعضاء تشجيع التعاون الدولي وكذلك ابرام اتفاقات مساعدة قانونية متبادلة، حسبما يكون مناسباً، بهدف منع الاتجار بأنواع النباتات والحيوانات البرية الخاضعة للحماية ومكافحته والقضاء عليه؛

A number of speakers highlighted the seriousness of trafficking in protected species of wild flora and fauna, expressing concern at the environmental, economic, social and scientific consequences of that practice.
76- سلط عدد من المتكلمين الضوء على خطورة الاتجار بأنواع النباتات والحيوانات البرية الخاضعة للحماية، معربين عن قلقهم من الآثار البيئية والاقتصادية والاجتماعية والعلمية لتلك الممارسة.

5. Calls upon Member States to promote international cooperation as well as the conclusion of mutual legal assistance agreements, as appropriate, with a view to preventing, combating and eradicating trafficking in protected species of wild flora and fauna;
5 - يناشد الدول الأعضاء تشجيع التعاون الدولي وكذلك ابرام اتفاقات مساعدة قانونية متبادلة، حسب الاقتضاء، بهدف منع الاتجار بأنواع النباتات والحيوانات البرية الخاضعة للحماية ومكافحته والقضاء عليه؛

36. The CITES secretariat provided an overview and supporting documentation concerning ongoing efforts to counter the role and impact of organized criminal groups in trafficking in protected species of fauna and flora.
36- وفّرت أمانة الاتفاقية لمحة عامة ووثائق داعمة فيما يتعلق بالجهود المستمرة لمكافحة دور وأثر الجماعات الإجرامية المنظّمة في الاتجار بأنواع الحيوانات والنباتات الخاضعة للحماية.

Both UNEP and the CITES secretariat provided detailed information on the nature and role of organized criminal groups in trafficking in protected species of flora and fauna, as well as environmental crime more generally.
فوفر كل من برنامج الأمم المتحدة للبيئة وأمانة الاتفاقية معلومات تفصيلية عن طبيعة الجماعات الإجرامية المنظّمة ودورها في الاتجار بأنواع النباتات والحيوانات الخاضعة للحماية، وكذلك الجريمة البيئية بصورة أعم.

3. Urges Member States to adopt preventive measures, where necessary, as well as to review their criminal legislation with a view to ensuring that offences relating to trafficking in protected species of wild flora and fauna are punishable by appropriate penalties that take into account the serious nature of those offences;
3- يحثّ الدول الأعضاء على أن تعتمد تدابير وقائية، عند الضرورة، وكذلك أن تعيد النظر في تشريعاتها الجنائية بهدف ضمان معاقبة الجرائم المتعلقة بالاتجار بأنواع النباتات والحيوانات البرية الخاضعة للحماية بعقوبات مناسبة تضع في الحسبان الطابع الخطير التي تتسم به تلك الجرائم؛

3. The Council urged Member States to adopt preventive measures, where necessary, and to review their criminal legislation with a view to ensuring that offences relating to trafficking in protected species of wild flora and fauna were punishable by appropriate penalties that took into account the serious nature of those offences.
2- وحثّ المجلس الدول الأعضاء على اعتماد تدابير وقائية، عند الضرورة، وإعادة النظر في تشريعاتها الجنائية بهدف ضمان معاقبة الجرائم المتعلقة بالاتجار بأنواع النباتات والحيوانات البرّية الخاضعة للحماية بعقوبات مناسبة تضع في الحسبان الطابع الخطير التي تتسم به تلك الجرائم.

Pursuant to the mandates provided by the Commission on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice, the Economic and Social Council and the General Assembly, the work of UNODC in the field of environmental crime focuses on international trafficking in forest products and on trafficking in protected species of wild fauna and flora.
وعملا بالولايات المُسندة من لجنة منع الجريمة والعدالة الجنائية والمجلس الاقتصادي والاجتماعي والجمعية العامة، يركّز عمل المكتب في مجال الجريمة البيئية على الاتّجار الدولي بالمنتجات الحرجية والاتّجار بالأنواع الخاضعة للحماية من الحيوانات والنباتات البرية.
