In accordance with article VIII, paragraph 2, of the Protocol, accession to the Protocol by any State that is not a contracting party to the unamended Convention shall have the effect of accession to the amended Convention, subject to the provisions of article XI of the Protocol.
ووفقا للفقرة 2 من المادة الثامنة من البروتوكول، يكون للانضمام إلى البروتوكول من جانب أي دولة ليست طرفا متعاقدا في الاتفاقية غير المعدلة مفعول الانضمام إلى الاتفاقية المعدلة، رهنا بأحكام المادة الحادية عشرة من البروتوكول.

In accordance with article X of the Protocol, ratification of or accession to the unamended Convention after the entry into force of the Protocol shall also constitute a ratification of or accession to the amended Convention if the State notifies the depositary accordingly.

As from that date the Board as so constituted shall, with respect to those Parties to the unamended Single Convention and to those Parties to the treaties enumerated in article 44 thereof which are not Parties to this Protocol, undertake the functions of the Board as constituted under the unamended Single Convention.

The amendment adopted by decision III/7 shall, however, enter into force on the basis of the original unamended amendments procedure.
بيد أن التعديل المعتمد بموجب المقرر 3/7 سيدخل حيز النفاذ على أساس إجراء التعديلات الأصلي غير المعدل.

With respect to the alternatives in the recommendation, it was agreed that the language in the first set of square brackets should be retained to permit an amendment of the notice while, at the same time, ensuring the effectiveness of an unamended notice.
