42. In general, it appears that a single unified joint reporting template adopted at the global level would not provide benefits, since the review of reporting requirements under the Rio conventions has revealed relatively little substantive or technical overlap among the three conventions.

22. In this context, there exists a high potential to undertake joint networking efforts to strengthen scientific capacities in developing countries in support of their commitments under the Rio conventions.
