10. In addition, in recent meetings organized by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and the Department for Policy Coordination on Sustainable Development of the United Nations Secretariat, the major providers and users of data for international assessments and reports on environment and development have agreed on common efforts to identify core data sets and make them more available.
