14. The Secretary-General firmly believes that the Conventions on the Privileges and Immunities of the United Nations and of the specialized agencies constitute a critical element in the protection of staff members and their dependants from arrest and detention.
١٤ - ويعتقد اﻷمين العام اعتقادا راسخا بأن الاتفاقيات المتعلقة بامتيازات وحصانات اﻷمم المتحدة والوكالات المتخصصة تشكل عنصرا حاسما في حماية الموظفين ومعاليهم من الاعتقال والاحتجاز.

(b) Resolution 1994/42 concerning staff members of the United Nations and of the specialized agencies in detention.
)ب( القرار ٤٩٩١/٢٤ بشأن المعتقلين من موظفي اﻷمم المتحدة والوكالات المتخصصة.

The CARICOM delegations shared the concern of the Secretariat and of other Member States about the security and safety of the members of the staff of the Organization and urged Governments to respect the provisions of Article 105 of the Charter and the Conventions on the Privileges and Immunities of the United Nations and of the specialized agencies.
٧٤ - وأضافت تقول إن وفود بلدان الجماعة الكاريبية تشاطر اﻷمانة العامة والدول اﻷعضاء اﻷخرى قلقها بشأن أمن وسلامة موظفي المنظمة وتحث الحكومات على احترام أحكام المادة ١٠٥ من الميثاق والاتفاقات بشأن امتيازات وحصانات اﻷمم المتحدة والوكالات المتخصصة.

Lastly, Ukraine was deeply concerned at the deteriorating situation in the area of security of staff and called upon the Governments concerned to honour their obligations under the Charter of the United Nations and the Conventions on the Privileges and Immunities of the United Nations and of the specialized agencies.
٣٦ - واختتم قائلا إن أوكرانيا تشعر بقلق بالغ إزاء تدهور الحالة في مجال أمن الموظفين وتدعو الحكومات المعنية إلى احترام التزاماتها بموجب ميثاق اﻷمم المتحدة واتفاقيات امتيازات وحصانات اﻷمم المتحدة والوكالات المتخصصة.
