Within the framework of the United Nations Decade for Human Rights Education, in a special effort to disseminate United Nations information materials, the Centre reached schools all over India.

112 - تؤكد كذلك أهمية نشر المواد الإعلامية للأمم المتحدة وترجمة الوثائق الهامة إلى لغات أخرى غير اللغات الرسمية للأمم المتحدة بغية وصولها إلى الجمهور على أوسع نطاق ممكن ونشر رسالة الأمم المتحدة في جميع أنحاء العالم من أجل تعزيز الدعم الدولي لأنشطة المنظمة؛

a. Provision of assistance to or participation in exhibits of United Nations information materials in connection with the observance of days, book fairs or other events (United Nations information centres);

(a) The Department of Public Information continued to provide press coverage of all meetings of the Special Committee and to feature and distribute United Nations information materials, documents and press releases on the activities of the Special Committee to representatives of non-governmental organizations and to the public at large through the United Nations information centres and services;

4. Further to the action reported in paragraph 5 of the same document, the Department of Public Information, with the active support of the United Nations resident coordinator, provided computers, printers and access to the Internet to 15 university libraries located in that country, to provide the students with online access to United Nations information materials.
