In its resolution 2013/24, the Economic and Social Council had taken note of the 2012 United Nations Practical Manual on Transfer Pricing for Developing Countries and had requested, among other things, that the Manual be updated as appropriate.

The objective was to disseminate and operationalize such outputs as the 2011 version of the United Nations Model Convention and the 2012 United Nations Practical Manual on Transfer Pricing for Developing Countries as capacity development tools for the benefit of developing countries.

2. Takes note of the 2012 United Nations Practical manual on transfer pricing for developing countries, developed by the Committee, notes the publication of the English-language version, and requests that:

It highlights the major recent outputs of the Committee, such as the 2011 revision of the United Nations Model Double Taxation Convention between Developed and Developing Countries and the 2012 United Nations Practical Manual on Transfer Pricing for Developing Countries.

23. In its recent programme of work, the Committee devoted time and effort to transfer pricing, which culminated in the adoption, during its 2012 session, of the United Nations Practical Manual on Transfer Pricing for Developing Countries.

16. Consideration of revisions to the commentary on article 9 were deferred by the Committee until the revision of the United Nations Practical Transfer Pricing Manual for Developing Countries, and then placed on the agenda of the following session.

12. The Coordinator of the Subcommittee on Transfer Pricing-Practical Issues, which was tasked with preparing the United Nations Practical Transfer Pricing Manual for Developing Countries, Stig Sollund, introduced the agenda item and presented a conference room paper on the item (E/C.18/2012/CRP.1) as well as draft chapters of the Manual.
