2. The Conference agreed that universality of the Convention and its Protocols would remain a priority objective of cooperation among States Parties in the period from 2006 to 2011.
2- ووافق المؤتمر على أن تبقى عالمية الاتفاقية وبروتوكولاتها هدفاً ذا أولية من أهداف التعاون بين الدول الأطراف في الفترة من عام 2006 إلى عام 2011.

His delegation welcomed in particular the adoption of the plan of action to promote universality of the Convention and its Protocols, as well as the establishment of a sponsorship programme.

29. The Meeting welcomed the report on promoting universality of the Convention and its Protocols and reaffirmed their commitment to the Accelerated Plan of Action on Universalization.
٢٩- رحّب الاجتماع بالتقرير المتعلق بتعزيز عالمية الاتفاقية وبروتوكولاتها، وأعاد تأكيده الالتزام بخطة العمل المعجلة بشأن عالمية الاتفاقية وبروتوكولاتها.

30. The Meeting recommended that the Secretary-General of the United Nations and the Chairperson-designate of the 2015 Meeting of High Contracting Parties to the Convention to exercise their authority to achieve the goal of universality of the Convention and its Protocols.
٣٠- وأوصى الاجتماع بأن يمارس الأمين العام للأمم المتحدة والرئيس المُعيّن لاجتماع الأطراف المتعاقدة السامية في الاتفاقية لعام 2015 سلطتهما لتحقيق هدف عالمية الاتفاقية وبروتوكولاتها.

As mandated by the Fourth Review Conference, the Unit prepared the report on " Promoting universality of the Convention and its Protocols " .

Mr. Spector (United States of America) said that the United States of America was participating in a review conference for the first time as a Party to the Convention and its five annexed Protocols. His country supported without reservation the plan of action to promote the universality of the Convention and its Protocols.
55- ولاحظ السيد سبيكتور (الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية) أن بلده يشارك لأول مرة في مؤتمر استعراضي للاتفاقية، وهو طرف في الاتفاقية والبروتوكولات الملحقة بها، وأنه يؤيد دون تحفظ خطة العمل الرامية إلى ترويج عالمية الاتفاقية وبروتوكولاتها.

The CHAIRPERSON drew attention to the report prepared by the secretariat on the initiatives taken to implement the plan of action to promote the universality of the Convention and its Protocols since the conclusion of the 2007 Meeting of the High Contracting Parties (CCW/MSP/2008/CRP.1).
