132. The report of the Secretary-General on the criteria used for recruitment to support account posts (A/58/767) was issued pursuant to General Assembly resolutions 56/293 and 57/318.

1. The present report of the Secretary-General on the criteria used for recruitment to support accounts posts, in particular those in the Department of Peacekeeping Operations, is submitted in accordance with requests made by the General Assembly in its resolutions 56/293 of 27 June 2002 and 57/318 of 18 June 2003.
1 - يقدم تقرير الأمين العام هذا عن المعايير المستخدمة للتعيين على الوظائف الممولة من حسابات الدعم، وبخاصة الوظائف في إدارة عمليات حفظ السلام، وفقاً لما طلبته الجمعية العامة في قراريها 56/293 المؤرخ 27 حزيران/يونيه 2002 و 57/318 المؤرخ 18 حزيران/يونيه 2003.

12. Takes note of the report of the Secretary-General on criteria used for recruitment to support account posts, and requests the Secretary-General to update the information and to submit a report thereon to the General Assembly for its consideration in the context of human resources management at its sixty-first session;

As to the request in paragraph 10 of the same resolution for a report on measures taken to improve the representation of underrepresented and unrepresented Member States and criteria used for recruitment for all support account posts, the Advisory Committee notes that a separate report will be submitted to the Assembly during the resumed part of its fifty-eighth session (see A/58/715, annex III.B).
