Some delegations expressed the view that, as the issue of the definition and delimitation of outer space and the character and utilization of the geostationary orbit was of crucial importance, the item should be retained on the agenda of the Subcommittee.
200- ورأى بعض الوفود أنه نظرا لما تكتسيه مسألة تعريف الفضاء الخارجي وتعيين حدوده ومسألة طبيعة المدار الثابت بالنسبة للأرض وكيفية استخدامه من أهمية بالغة، ينبغي إبقاء هذا البند مدرجا في جدول أعمال اللجنة الفرعية.

131. The Chairman of the Group of Latin American and Caribbean States expressed the view that the item on the character and utilization of the geostationary orbit was of particular interest to the countries of that regional group and that the item should continue to be considered by the Committee and by the Legal Subcommittee.
١٣١ - وأعرب رئيس مجموعة دول أمريكا اللاتينية ومنطقة البحر الكاريبي عن رأيه بأن البند المتعلق بطبيعة استخدام المدار الثابت بالنسبة لﻷرض ينطوي على أهمية خاصة لبلدان هذه المجموعة الاقليمية، وطلب مواصلة النظر في هذا البند في كل من اللجنة واللجنة الفرعية القانونية.

Some delegations expressed their satisfaction with the agreement reached by the Subcommittee at its thirty-ninth session (see A/AC.105/738, annex III) to the effect that coordination among countries aimed at the utilization of the geostationary orbit should be carried out in an equitable manner and in conformity with the ITU Constitution and Radio Regulations.

The Subcommittee recalled that, in 2000, it had transmitted to ITU the information regarding the agreement reached at its thirty-ninth session on the question of the character and utilization of the geostationary orbit and that ITU had noted that information in its resolution 80 (Rev. WRC-2000).
74- واستذكرت اللجنة الفرعية أنها أرسلت إلى الاتحاد الدولي للاتصالات عام 2000 معلومات تتعلق بالاتفاق الذي تم التوصل إليه خلال دورتها التاسعة والثلاثين حول المسألة المتعلقة بطبيعة المدار الثابت بالنسبة للأرض وكيفية استخدامه وأن الاتحاد أشار إلى هذه المعلومة في قراره 80 (Rev.WRC-2000).
