1. The authors of the communication are Juan Martínez Mercader, Esteban Fajardo Monreal and Jesús Nicolás Orenes, Spanish nationals, who allege that they are victims of violation by Spain of article 14, paragraph 1, and article 26 of the Covenant.

4.3 The Committee notes that the authors of the communication claim that in the context of domestic proceedings, they have become victims of violation by the State party of their rights under article 2, paragraph 3 (c), in conjunction with article 14, paragraph 1, of the Covenant.
