11. Mr. Wagle (Nepal) said that Nepal was on the verge of holding crucial elections and expressed his delegation's gratitude to the Secretariat and the United Nations Mission in Nepal (UNMIN) for their support.

1. The Chairman said that he had been informed by the Permanent Mission of Nepal that Mr. Dhakal would be unavailable to continue serving as Vice-Chairman of the Committee, and that Mr. Wagle (Nepal) had been nominated and endorsed by the Group of Asian States to fill that post.
1 - الرئيس: قال إن البعثة الدائمة لنيبال أبلغته أنه سيتعذر على السيد داكال مواصلة عمله كنائب لرئيس اللجنة وأن السيد واغل (نيبال) قد رُشح لشغل هذا المنصب ونال تأييد مجموعة الدول الآسيوية.

The Chairman further informed the Committee that notification had been received from the Asian Group of the nomination and endorsement of Mr. Tirtha Rag Wagle (Nepal) as Vice-Chairman of the Committee.
وأبلغ الرئيس اللجنة أيضا أنه قد ورد إخطار من المجموعة الآسيوية بترشيح السيد تيرثا راغ واغل (نيبال) نائبا لرئيس اللجنة وبتأييد هذا الترشيح.

47. Mr. Wagle (Nepal) said that poverty reduction, being a multidimensional issue, must be addressed in a coherent manner and at all geographical levels, especially with regard to the developing and least developed countries.
47 - السيد واغل (نيبال): قال إنه لما كان الحد من الفقر قضية متعددة الأبعاد، فلا بد من معالجتها بأسلوب مترابط وعلى جميع المستويات الجغرافية، وبخاصة فيما يتعلق بالبلدان النامية وأقل البلدان نموا.

Mr. Wagle (Nepal): At the outset, allow me to express my delegation's appreciation to the President for convening this debate on climate change.
السيد واغل (نيبال) (تكلم بالانكليزية): اسمحوا لي في البداية بأن أعرب عن تقدير وفدي للرئيس لعقده هذه المناقشة عن تغير المناخ.

21. Mr. Wagle (Nepal) emphasized the importance of continued and effective utilization of the wealth of United Nations expertise at the national and regional levels.

25. Mr. Wagle (Nepal) recalled that the High-level Dialogue on Financing for Development had highlighted the need to promote collaborative actions and suggested new ways of responding to emerging development needs and priorities.
25 - السيد واغل (نيبال): أشار إلى أن الحوار الرفيع المستوى بشأن تمويل التنمية قد أبرز الحاجة إلى تعزيز العمل التضامني واقتَرح سُبلاً جديدة للتصدي للاحتياجات والأولويات الإنمائية الناشئة.
