11 - ترحب كذلك بتطوير الجيش الوطني الأفغاني الجديد المؤلف من قوات محترفة والشرطة الوطنية الأفغانية، وتدعو إلى بذل جهود حثيثة لتحديث وتعزيز كلتا المؤسستين والإدارات الحكومية ذات الصلة، وترحب في هذا الصدد بنشر بعثة الشرطة التابعة للاتحاد الأوروبي في أفغانستان في عام 2007؛

It welcomes in this regard the on-going assistance provided by the Federal Republic of Germany, the United Arab Emirates and others, and encourages Member States, as suggested by the Secretary-General, to consider further assistance.

3. Reaffirms that dialogue among cultures and civilizations facilitates the promotion of a culture of tolerance and respect for diversity, and welcomes in this regard the holding of conferences and meetings at the national, regional and international levels on dialogue among civilizations;
