The results of such measures should be monitored with a view to being discontinued when the objectives for which they are undertaken have been achieved.

24. The adoption of temporary special measures with the sole purpose of achieving de facto equality does not constitute discrimination, provided that such measures do not perpetuate unequal protection or form a separate system of protection for certain individuals or groups of individuals, and that they are discontinued when the objectives for which they were taken have been achieved.
24- ولا يشكل اعتماد تدابير مؤقتة وخاصة، لغرض وحيد هو تحقيق المساواة الفعلية، تمييزاً، بشرط ألا تديم هذه التدابير الحماية غير المتساوية أو تشكل نظاماً منفصلاً لحماية أفراد معينين أو مجموعات معينة من الأفراد، وأن يجري إيقافها عندما يتم تحقيق الأهداف التي اتخذت من أجلها.
