19- وذكر المتكلِّمون أنَّ مناقشة مسألة المراقبين تجري الآن في إطار المشاورات غير الرسمية بهدف التوصل إلى قرار يتَّخذه المؤتمر بشأن مشاركتهم في دورات الفريق.

In this context reference was made repeatedly to General Assembly resolution 51/47 A, which calls upon the Conference on Disarmament “to consider all remaining applications for membership with a view to reaching a decision on its further enlargement before the end of its 1997 session”.

(k) Requests the Bureau, in cooperation with UNHCR, to organize consultations on enhancing the independence of the Office of the Inspector General, bearing in mind the various elements of the recommendation in the JIU report on this subject, with a view to reaching a decision on this subject no later than the 56th session of the Executive Committee;

(ل) تحيط علما بتوصية وحدة التفتيش المشتركة فيما يتعلق بعرض ميزانية لفترة السنتين، وتقرر أن تكون هذه المسألة موضع مزيد من النظر في اللجنة الدائمة أثناء عام 2005، بناء على تحليل إضافي تجريه المفوضية، بهدف التوصل إلى قرار في هذا الشأن في موعد لا يتجاوز موعد انعقاد الدورة السادسة والخمسين للجنة التنفيذية؛
