It noted with satisfaction that the Secretariat, within the meagre resources at its disposal, was taking steps to assign human and material resources to ensure that all outstanding mandates were implemented and was introducing measures to effect savings in certain information centres.

The Advisory Committee had noted with satisfaction that the Secretariat had implemented many of its proposals for enhancing the efficiency of the budgetary and reporting process for peacekeeping operations, resulting in timely submission of documents and reports that were more accurate and user-friendly and, in the case of financial performance reports, more analytical.
٣٠ - ولاحظت اللجنة الاستشارية بارتياح أن اﻷمانة العامة نفذت العديد من مقترحاتها الرامية الى تحسين فعالية العمليات الميزانوية وعمليات اﻹبلاغ المتعلقة بحفظ السلام، مما أسفر عن تقديم الوثائق والتقارير في الوقت المناسب وفي شكل أدق وأيسر استعمالا، وأعمق تحليلا في حالة تقارير اﻷداء المالي.

26. He noted with satisfaction that the Secretariat had informed the Advisory Committee that only Member States would be approached for providing gratis personnel, in accordance with General Assembly resolution 51/243, and urged the General Assembly to take a decision to that effect.
