The Supreme Council for Family Affairs, established by royal decree under the leadership of Her Highness Sheikha Mozah Bint Nasser Al-Misnad, wife of the Emir, was a significant step for women in her country inasmuch as the Council was responsible for implementing a national strategy for the advancement of women.
