With regard to administrative questions, ACC focused its attention in 1995 on the consultative process and functioning of the International Civil Service Commission (ICSC), and the status of women in the secretariats of the United Nations system.

Takes note with appreciation of the statement on the status of women in the secretariats of the United Nations system adopted by the Administrative Committee on Coordination at its first regular session of 1995 and requests members of the Committee to report on the implementation of the proposals contained therein;

21. Following a request by the Steering Committee for the Improvement of the Status of Women in the Secretariat, the Secretary-General took the initiative of placing an item on the status of women in the secretariats of the United Nations system on the agenda of the spring session of the Administrative Committee on Coordination (ACC).
٢١ - بناء على طلب قدمته اللجنة التوجيهية لتحسين مركز المرأة في اﻷمانة العامة، اتخذ اﻷمين العام المبادرة المتمثلة في إدراج بند يتعلق بمركز المرأة في أمانات منظومة اﻷمم المتحدة في جدول أعمال الدورة الربيعية للجنة التنسيق اﻹدارية.

101. As part of its continuing consideration of key management issues facing the system and in connection with the preparations for the Fourth World Conference on Women, ACC is expected to give special consideration, during the first half of the year, to issues relating to the status of women in the secretariats of the United Nations system.
١٠١ - ومن المتوقع من لجنة التنسيق اﻹدارية أن تقوم، كجزء من عملية نظرها بشكل مستمر في القضايا اﻹدارية اﻷساسية التي تواجه المنظومة وفيما يتصل باﻷعمال التحضيرية الخاصة بالمؤتمر العالمي الرابع المعني بالمرأة، بإيلاء اهتمام خاص، أثناء النصف اﻷول من العام، بالقضايا المتصلة بمركز المرأة في أمانات منظومة اﻷمم المتحدة.

In its resolution 49/222 B, the General Assembly noted with appreciation the statement on the status of women in the secretariats of the United Nations system adopted by the Administrative Committee on Coordination (ACC) at its first regular session of 1995.
وأشارات الجمعية العامة في قرارها ٤٩/٢٢٢ باء مع التقدير الى البيان الذي اتخذته لجنة التنسيق اﻹدارية في دورتها العادية اﻷولى لعام ١٩٩٥ بشأن مركز المرأة في أمانات منظومة اﻷمم المتحدة وصدرت نشرة اﻷمين العام ST/SGB/282 المؤرخة ٥ كانون الثاني/يناير ١٩٩٦ بشأن السياسات الرامية الى تحقيق المساواة بين الجنسين في اﻷمم المتحدة.

The Consultative Committee on Administrative Questions (Personnel and General Administrative Questions) (CCAQ(PER)) drew the attention of ACC to several key issues, in particular the examination of the application of the Noblemaire principle; the status of women in the secretariats of the United Nations system; the framework for a supportive work/family agenda; and the security and safety of United Nations system staff and associated personnel.
