Comprehensive recent statistical studies on working children in Lebanon have not yet been carried out. The most recent study on this topic was a study on the status of children in Lebanon in 2000, which was used in drawing up the third periodic report on the situation of children in Lebanon for the period 19982003.

The corresponding rates for the 6 - 11 and 12 - 14 age groups amounted to 12.2 per cent and 28.5 per cent respectively.

13. A study on child labour carried out by the Department of General Statistics and the International Labour Organization (ILO) indicated that forced labour in Jordan is non-existent. The proportion of working children in Jordan stands at 1.8 per cent of the total number of children in the 5 - 7 age group, according to the national survey on child labour (2007 - 2008) conducted by the Department.
13- أشارت دراسة عمل الطفل التي أجريت من قبل دائرة الإحصاءات العامة ومنظمة العمل الدولية إلى أنه لا توجد عمالة قسرية في الأردن، وأن نسبة الأطفال العاملين في الأردن تشكل 1.8 في المائة من مجموع عدد الأطفال في الفئة العمرية من (5-7) سنوات، وفقاً للمسح الوطني لعمل الأطفال للأعوام 2007-2008 الذي أجرته دائرة الإحصاءات العامة.

Of the working children in this age group, 51.7 per cent lived in northeastern States and did work related to family farming.
