13. In October 2013, the World Future Council, the Inter-Parliamentary Union and the Office for Disarmament Affairs announced that Mongolia's law on its nuclear-weapon-free status (2000) had won an honourable mention for the World Future Council Future Policy Award 2013 on disarmament.

During the discussion, participating legislators exchanged views with the representatives of several United Nations agencies and non-governmental organizations (International Disability Alliance and World Future Council) and further explored the role of parliamentarians and parliaments to promote the rights of persons with disabilities, in particular the right to political participation.
