8. The Committee, working group or rapporteur may request the State party or the author of the communication to submit, within fixed time limits, additional written explanations or statements relevant to the issues of the admissibility or merits of a communication.
8 - يجوز أن تطلب اللجنة أو الفريق العامل أو المقرر من الدولة الطرف أو من مقدم الرسالة تقديم تفسيرات أو بيانات كتابية إضافية في ما يتصل بمسألتي مقبولية الرسالة وموضوعها خلال حدود زمنية معينة.

(a) Steps taken to seek adjustment of the matter in accordance with article 41, paragraphs 1 (a) and (b), of the Covenant, including the text of the initial communication and of any subsequent written explanations or statements by the States parties concerned which are pertinent to the matter;

8. Accordingly, on 2 April 2008, the Committee declared the communication admissible and requested the State party to provide written explanations or statements clarifying the matter, and indicating the measures, if any, that may have been taken by the State party.
8- وبناءً عليه، أعلنت اللجنة في 2 نيسان/أبريل 2008 أن البلاغ مقبول وطلبت إلى الدولة الطرف أن تزودها بتفسيرات أو بيانات خطية توضح موقفها من هذه القضية وأن تبين التدابير، إن وجدت، التي اتخذتها في هذا الصدد.

It recalls that it is implicit in article 4, paragraph 2, of the Optional Protocol, that States parties examine in good faith all the allegations brought against them and submit to the Committee written explanations or statements clarifying the matter and the remedy, if any, that it may have given.

(ب) أن يُطلب إلى الدولة الطرف، عملاً بالفقرة 2 من المادة 4 من البروتوكول الاختياري، أن تقوم في غضون ستة أشهر من تاريخ إبلاغها هذا القرار، بموافاة اللجنة بالشروح أو البيانات المكتوبة اللازمة لتوضيح المسألة والتدابير المتخذة، إن وجدت؛

In such cases, the Committee recalls that under article 4, paragraph 2, of the Optional Protocol, when receiving a new communication registered by the Committee for consideration under the Optional Protocol, States parties are under an obligation to cooperate by submitting to it written explanations or statements clarifying the matter and indicating the measures, if any, that may have been taken to remedy the situation.
وفي هذه الحالات، تذكّر اللجنة بأنه بموجب الفقرة 2 من المادة 4 من البروتوكول الاختياري، عندما تتلقى الدول الأطراف بلاغاً جديداً مسجلاً من اللجنة من أجل النظر فيه بموجب البروتوكول الاختياري، تكون الدول الأطراف ملزمة بالتعاون مع اللجنة بأن تقدم إليها خطياً إيضاحات أو بيانات توضح المسألة وتبين، عند الاقتضاء، التدابير التي كان من الممكن اتخاذها لتصحيح الوضع.

The Committee recalls that the State party is obliged, pursuant to the Convention, to submit to the Committee written explanations or statements clarifying the matter and the remedy, if any, that the State may have taken.
