51. Mr. Rosales Díaz (Nicaragua), speaking in explanation of vote before the voting, said that his delegation would vote against section XIII of the draft resolution because the Venezuelan oral amendment on the Office of the Special Adviser had been rejected.

41. At the same meeting, the representative of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela also orally proposed an amendment to section XIII of the draft resolution concerning the Office of the Special Adviser to the Secretary-General on the Prevention of Genocide, by which a new paragraph would be inserted, to read:
41 - وفي الجلسة نفسها ، اقترح ممثل جمهورية فنزويلا البوليفارية شفويا أيضا، إجراء تعديل على الجزء الثالث عشر من مشروع القرار المتعلق بمكتب المستشار الخاص للأمين العام المعني بمنع الإبادة الجماعية، تُدرَج بموجبه فقرة جديدة، على النحو التالي:

The focus of next year's fifth meeting of the Consultative Process, set out in section XIII of the draft resolution, will be " New sustainable uses of the oceans, including the conservation and management of the biological diversity of the seabed in areas beyond national jurisdiction " .
وستركز مناقشات الاجتماع الخامس للعملية التشاورية في العام المقبل كما هو وراد في الجزء الثالث عشر من مشروع القرار، على " الاستخدامات المستدامة الجديدة للمحيطات بما في ذلك صون وإدارة التنوع البيولوجي لقاع البحر في المناطق التي تتجاوز نطاق الولاية الوطنية " .

Mrs. Giménez-Jiménez (Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela) (spoke in Spanish): My delegation would like to state for the record that our vote against section XIII of the draft resolution contained in document A/C.5/65/L.22 pertains solely to the concerns with regard to the Office of the Special Adviser for the Prevention of Genocide.

52. Ms. Giménez-Jiménez (Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela), speaking in explanation of vote before the voting, said that her delegation would also vote against section XIII of the draft resolution in order to express its rejection of the logical framework of the Office of the Special Adviser, not the other special political missions.
