In the light of ongoing initiatives for harmonization of conditions of service, the proposed revision of the after-service health insurance eligibility requirements has been modified to require that new staff members have 10 years of participation in United Nations health insurance plans both to be eligible to participate in and to receive cost-sharing benefits under the after-service health insurance programme.
