Mr. Küntzle (Germany), speaking on behalf of the European Union, the associated countries Bulgaria, Cyprus, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Slovakia and Slovenia, and, in addition, Iceland and Norway, said that the European Union had consistently supported the concept of the Development Account since its introduction within the Secretary-General’s reform proposals.
