I have the honour to inform you that, in response to the request of the Committee on the Elimination of Discrimination against Women, the competent authorities in the Libyan Arab Jamahiriya have reviewed the aforementioned reservation and have reformulated the reservation so that paragraph 3 of the aforementioned instrument of accession of the Libyan Arab Jamahiriya reads as follows:

On instructions from my Government, I have the honour to inform you that the Israeli aggression against Lebanon which commenced on 12 July 2006 escalated seriously today, 18 July 2006. At 12.40 p.m., a humanitarian aid convoy travelling from the United Arab Emirates was bombarded by Israeli warplanes in the locality of Tell Chiha, close by the statue of the Virgin Mary, in the region of the Zahle hills.
بناء على تعليمات من حكومتي، أتشرف بإفادتكم بأن العدوان الإسرائيلي على لبنان الذي بدأ في 12 تموز/يوليه 2006، شهد تطورا خطيرا بتاريخ 18 تموز/يوليه 2006، إذ تعرضت عند الساعة الثانية عشرة والدقيقة الأربعين من بعد ظهر اليوم قافلة المساعدات القادمة إلى لبنان من دولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة لقصف من الطيران الحربي الإسرائيلي وذلك في محلة تل شيحا قرب تماثل السيدة العذراء في منطقة تلال زحلة.
