In this context, the High Commissioner is participating in the consolidated appeal for Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia and Slovenia, which should cover the period from 1 January to 31 December 1996.

41. Mr. Prica (Bosnia and Herzegovina) said that his delegation was grateful to Mrs. Ogata for everything she had done for Bosnia and Herzegovina in the terrible years both during and after the conflict.

In that context, I wish from this podium once again not only to reaffirm the indispensable role of the Organization in the implementation of the Dayton/Paris Agreement and the Stability Pact, but also to reiterate my gratitude for all the efforts, contributions and many sacrifices made for Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Encourages all Governments to respond favourably to the United Nations revised consolidated inter-agency appeal for Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia and Slovenia to assist refugees, internally displaced persons and other war-affected people to rebuild their lives, in particular the activities proposed by the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights;
٨١- تشجع جميع الحكومات على الاستجابة المواتية لنداء اﻷمم المتحدة المنقح والموحد المشترك بين الوكالات من أجل البوسنة والهرسك وكرواتيا وجمهورية يوغوسلافيا الاتحادية وجمهورية مقدونيا اليوغوسلافية السابقة وسلوفينيا، لمساعدة اللاجئين واﻷشخاص المشردين داخليا وغيرهم ممن تأثروا بالحرب على إعادة بناء حياتهم، وخاصة فيما يتعلق باﻷنشطة التي اقترحها مفوض اﻷمم المتحدة السامي لحقوق اﻹنسان؛

5. In July, the nationalist rhetoric was met with a response from Federation-based parties when a senior member of the Party of Democratic Action (SDA), Bakir Izetbegović, stated that it would be much better for the international community to react to Dodik's anti-Daytonism, " to sanction such attempts [than for] Bosniaks to have to fight for Bosnia and Herzegovina in our own ways " .
