ASSISTANCE FOR RECONSTRUCTION AND DEVELOPMENT: POLITICAL AND ECONOMIC CONTEXT

The International Donor Conference for reconstruction and development in Darfur, held in Doha on 7 and 8 April, was welcomed by some members.
ورحب بعض الأعضاء بالمؤتمر الدولي للمانحين من أجل التعمير والتنمية في دارفور، المعقود في الدوحة يومي 7 و 8 نيسان/أبريل.

They also welcomed the holding of the International Donor Conference for reconstruction and development in Darfur and emphasized the need for donors to swiftly deliver on their pledges.
ورحبوا أيضا بعقد المؤتمر الدولي للمانحين من أجل التعمير والتنمية في دارفور، كما أكدوا ضرورة وفاء الجهات المانحة بتعهداتها على وجه السرعة.

In addition, provincial reconstruction teams will engage the population at the local level to strengthen the perception that ISAF can provide security for reconstruction and development.

وفـي مواجهة ذلك عملت اﻷمـم المتحــدة، بالقدر الممكن، على دمج جهودها المتعلقة بحقوق اﻹنسان وجهودها الانسانية في الجهود التي تقوم بها لتحقيق السلام، كما عملت على ربط هذين النوعين من الجهود باﻷعمال التي تقوم بها من أجل التعمير والتنمية. وقد عُززت اﻵليات المستخدمة في المقر لتحقيق هذه الغايات وذلك من أجل تقوية الدعم الغني والسﱠوقي ﻹقامة هذه الروابط وذلك التعاون في الميدان.
