President Ahmad Tejan Kabbah of Sierra Leone visited Liberia on 22 and 26 July to consult with Chairman Bryant on security issues in the Mano River Union countries.
وقام رئيس سيراليون، أحمد تيجان كباح بزيارة ليبريا يومي 22 و 26 تموز/يوليه للتشاور مع الرئيس براينت بشأن مسائل تتعلق بالأمن في بلدان اتحاد نهر مانو.

At a meeting convened on 2 September, the President of Sierra Leone, Ahmad Tejan Kabbah, and the President of Guinea, Lansana Conté, issued a statement reaffirming that the village of Yenga belonged to Sierra Leone.
وعقب لقاء بين الرئيس السيراليوني أحمد تيجان كباح والرئيس الغيني لانسانا كونتي في 2 أيلول/سبتمبر، صدر بيان أكد فيه الرئيسان مجددا أن قرية ينغا سيراليونية.

The Secretary-General also reported on the submission of the final report of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission to the President, Ahmad Tejan Kabbah, and on the agreement signed by the Special Court on the enforcement of sentences, which will allow some of those convicted to serve their sentences outside Sierra Leone.
وأفاد الأمين العام أيضا عن تقديم لجنة تقصي الحقائق والمصالحة الوطنية تقريرها الختامي إلى الرئيس أحمد تيجان كباح وعن الاتفاق الذي وقعته المحكمة الخاصة بشأن إنفاذ القوانين، مما سيسمح لبعض المدانين بقضاء مدة العقوبة خارج سيراليون.

It is in this spirit that the former President Ahmad Tejan Kabbah gave a certificate of urgency for the passage of the three Gender Bills, namely the Registration of Customary Marriage and Divorce; the Domestic Violence; and the Devolution of Estates.

16. The Committee, now known as the Committee of Six on Sierra Leone, appealed to the rebels to cease fighting immediately, to lay down their arms and to recognize the Government of President Ahmad Tejan Kabbah as the legitimate Government in Sierra Leone, to participate in dialogue and to accept the Government's offer of amnesty.
١٦ - ووجهت اللجنة المعروفة حاليا باللجنة السداسية المعنية بسيراليون نداء إلى المتمردين بوقف المعارك على الفور وتسليم أسلحتهم والاعتراف بحكومة الرئيس أحمد تيجان كباح بوصفها الحكومة الشرعية في سيراليون والاشتراك في الحوار واغتنام فرصة العفو الذي تعرضه عليهم الحكومة.

4. During its visit, the team met three times in Conakry with President Ahmad Tejan Kabbah and members of his Cabinet, who welcomed the proposals contained in my previous report, and with the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Guinea and other Guinean government officials.
٤ - والتقى الفريق، خلال الزيارة التي قام بها إلى كوناكري، ثلاث مرات، بالرئيس أحمد تيجان كباح وأعضاء حكومته الذين رحبوا بالمقترحات الواردة في تقريري السابق والتقى أيضا بوزير خارجية غينيا وغيره من مسؤولي الحكومة الغينية.

The Government led by Ahmed Tejan Kabbah has consistently maintained that it will only resort to executions for the most serious crimes, and this was reflected in its White Paper issued in response to the Truth and Reconciliation Commission (TRC) report.
وما فتئت الحكومة التي يرأسها أحمد تيجان كباح تدّعي أنها لن تلجأ إلى تنفيذ الإعدامات إلا في الجرائم الأشد خطورة، وقد ورد ذلك في كتابها الأبيض الذي أصدرته رداً على تقرير لجنة الحقيقة والمصالحة.

In this regard, the Government of Liberia reaffirms its recognition of the elected Government of President Ahmed Tejan Kabbah as the legitimate Government of Sierra Leone.
وفي هذا الصدد تؤكد حكومة ليبريا مرة أخرى اعترافها بحكومة الرئيس أحمد تيجان كباح المنتخبة، بوصفها الحكومة الشرعية لسيراليون.

25. In a coup d'état on 25 May 1997, led by Commander Johnny Paul Koroma, the constitutional President Alhaji Ahmed Tejan Kabbah was overthrown and a revolutionary council was formed.
