8. Article 6 should include a mandatory provision stipulating that the panel of judges as a whole should represent the main forms of civilization and the principal legal systems of the world.
٨ - وينبغي أن تشتمل المادة ٦ على نص إلزامي يشترط أن يمثل فريق القضاة ككل أشكال الحضارة الرئيسية والنظم القانونية الرئيسية في العالم.

The expert group should be composed of 5 to 10 independent experts with a knowledge of the different forms of civilization and the principal legal systems and a knowledge of international law and the experience of the other human rights treaty bodies, in the preparation and operation of optimal protocols.
وينبغي أن يتكون فريق الخبراء من ٥ إلى ١٠ خبراء مستقلين على دراية بمختلف أشكال الحضارة والنظم القانونية الرئيسية، ودراية بالقانون الدولي وخبرة الهيئات اﻷخرى للمعاهدات المتعلقة بحقوق اﻹنسان في إعداد وتنفيذ البروتوكولات الاختيارية.

Also with regard to the election of judges, he proposed that the provision in article 6, paragraph 5, should be broadened and should read: " In the election of the judges, States should bear in mind that the representation of the main forms of civilization, the principal legal systems of the world and equitable geographical distribution should be assured. "
وفيما يتعلق بانتخاب القضاة أيضا، اقترح توسيع نطاق الفقرة ٥ من المادة ٦ بحيث يصبح نصها كما يلي: " ينبغي أن تراعي الدول، لدى انتخاب القضاة، وجوب كفالة تمثيل أشكال الحضارة اﻷساسية، والنظم القانونية الرئيسية في العالم والتوزيع الجغرافي العادل " .

In this connection, it was proposed that the provision in article 6, paragraph 5, should be broadened and should read: " In the election of the judges, States should bear in mind that the representation of the main forms of civilization, the principal legal systems of the world and equitable geographical distribution should be assured. "
وفي هذا الصدد، اقترح توسيع نطاق الحكم الوارد في الفقرة ٥ من المادة ٦ بأن يصبح نصه: " تراعي الدول في انتخاب القضاة كفالة تمثيل أشكال الحضارة الرئيسية ونظم العالم القانونية الرئيسية والتوزيع الجغرافي العادل " .

13. Encourages States parties, in the election of treaty body experts, to give due consideration, as stipulated in the relevant human rights instruments, to equitable geographical distribution, the representation of the different forms of civilization and the principal legal systems, balanced gender representation and the participation of experts with disabilities in the membership of the human rights treaty bodies;
13 - تشجع الدول الأطراف على أن تراعي على النحو الواجب، عند انتخاب الخبراء للعمل لدى هيئات معاهدات حقوق الإنسان، وعلى النحو المنصوص عليه في صكوك حقوق الإنسان ذات الصلة، التوزيع الجغرافي العادل وتمثيل مختلف أشكال الحضارة ومختلف أشكال النظم القانونية الرئيسية والتمثيل المتوازن للجنسين ومشاركة الخبراء من ذوي الإعاقة في عضوية هيئات معاهدات حقوق الإنسان؛

12. Encourages States parties to consider, during the election of treaty body experts, equitable geographical distribution, representation of the different forms of civilization and the principal legal systems, balanced gender representation and the participation of experts with disabilities, as stipulated in the relevant human rights instruments;
12 - تشجع الدول الأطراف على أن تراعي، عند انتخاب الخبراء للعمل لدى الهيئات المنشأة بموجب معاهدات، التوزيع الجغرافي العادل، وتمثيل مختلف أشكال الحضارة ومختلف أشكال النظم القانونية الرئيسية، والتمثيل المتوازن للجنسين، ومشاركة الخبراء من ذوي الإعاقة على النحو المنصوص عليه في صكوك حقوق الإنسان ذات الصلة؛
