2. The note deals exclusively with the work done in respect of policies and rules issued by the Secretary-General or on his behalf through instruments subject to the Staff Regulations and the Staff Rules.

The present addendum contains the full text of amendments to rules 112.3, 212.2 and 312.2, which have been provisionally promulgated by the Secretary-General in accordance with staff regulation 12.3, effective 1 October 2004, together with the provisional amendments to rules 110.4, 110.5, 110.6 and 110.7 contained in document A/59/213.

promulgated by the Secretary-General on 26 December 2006, ST/SGB/2006/15 prohibits the employment by vendors of former United Nations staff involved in the procurement process for a minimum of one year following separation, and renders any vendor of goods or services subject to disbarment, suspension or termination in the event of violation of this restriction.

In concomitance with this reclassification of post, a memo from the Secretary-General issued on 17 June 2009 stated that:
