[A]n attack which may be expected to cause incidental loss of civilian life, injury to civilians, damage to civilian objects or a combination thereof, which would be excessive in relation to the concrete and direct military advantage anticipated.
هجوم يمكن أن يُتوقع منه أن يسبب بصورة عرضية خسائر في أرواح المدنيين أو إصابتهم أو أضراراً بالأعيان المدنية أو كلاً من هذه الخسائر والأضرار معاً، التي قد تكون مفرطة بالمقارنة مع الميزة العسكرية الملموسة والمباشرة المتوقعة.

Launching an attack which may be expected to cause incidental loss of civilian life, injury to civilians, damage to civilian objects, or a combination thereof, which would be excessive in relation to the concrete and direct military advantage anticipated, is prohibited.
يُحظر شنّ هجوم يمكن أن يُتوقع منه أن يسبب، بصورة عرضية، خسائر في أرواح المدنيين أو إصابة بهم أو أضراراً بالأعيان المدنية أو كلاً من هذه الخسائر والأضرار معاً، التي قد تكون مفرطة بالمقارنة مع الميزة العسكرية الملموسة والمباشرة المتوقعة.

(b) an attack which may be expected to cause incidental loss of civilian life, injury to civilians, damage to civilian objects, or a combination thereof, which would be excessive in relation to the concrete and direct military advantage anticipated. "
(ب) والهجوم الذي يمكن أن يتوقع منه أن يسبب، بصورة عرضية، خسائر في أرواح المدنيين أو إصابة بهم أو أضراراً بالأعيان المدنية أو مزيجاً من هذه الخسائر والأضرار، وتكون هذه الخسائر أو الأضرار مفرطة بالمقارنة بالميزة العسكرية الملموسة والمباشرة المتوقعة.

Rule 14. " Launching an attack which may be expected to cause incidental loss of civilian life, injury to civilians, damage to civilian objects, or a combination thereof, which would be excessive in relation to the concrete and direct military advantage anticipated, is prohibited. "
القاعدة 14- " يُحظر شنّ هجوم يمكن أن يُتوقع منه أن يسبب، بصورة عرضية، خسائر في أرواح المدنيين أو إصابة بهم أو أضراراً بالأعيان المدنية أو كلاً من هذه الخسائر والأضرار معاً، التي قد تكون مفرطة بالمقارنة مع الميزة العسكرية الملموسة والمباشرة المتوقعة " .

Prot. I. Under this provision an attack is prohibited if it " may be expected to cause incidental loss of civilian life, injury to civilians, damage to civilian objects, or a combination thereof, which would be excessive in relation to the concrete and direct military advantage anticipated. "

4. Rule of proportionality - It is prohibited to launch an attack which may be expected to cause incidental loss of civilian life, injury to civilians, damage to civilian objects, or a combination thereof, which would be excessive in relation to the concrete and direct military advantage anticipated. 4- قاعدة التناسب - يُحظر شن هجوم يمكن أن يُتوقع منه أن يسبب، بصورة عرضية، خسائر في أرواح المدنيين أو إصابة بهم أو أضراراً بالأعيان المدنية أو كلاً من هذه الخسائر والأضرار معاً، التي قد تكون مفرطة بالمقارنة مع الميزة العسكرية الملموسة والمباشرة المتوقعة. The principle of proportionality is reflected in Additional Protocol I, which prohibits launching attacks " which may be expected to cause incidental loss of civilian life, injury to civilians, damage to civilian objects, or a combination thereof, which would be excessive in relation to the concrete and direct military advantage anticipated. "
